Hi! My name is Heather. And I am a writer.

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been a storyteller. I’ve always been compelled to write. Some of it has been really bad (the story I wrote when I was 7-years-old about my chicken dinner at Swiss Chalet), some pretty creative (‘The Adventures of Grumpy Grape’) to some pieces that really resonated with readers.

So, I decided to be a writer when I grew up.

After spending over a decade in the marketing and advertising industry as a copywriter, I began a freelance career writing for businesses, as well as writing content for top parenting sites such as Red Tricycle and Pregnant Chicken. I’ve also written many, many blogs for a number of established sites, including Huffington Post, Scary Mommy, Motherly, SavvyMom and others. I’ve spent time as a creative lead and a content manager and today, I’m a professional writer and Editor-in-Chief. (As well as a mom to three little kids!)

I would love to get to know you!

I host an engaging Facebook group called Writerly, where I’d love to chat with you about all-things writing. Otherwise, here’s how to get in touch. I can be found on FacebookTwitterInstagram and directly at hclay79[at]gmail[dot]com.
