Hi! I’m Heather Dixon. I’m a writer, a copywriter and a content gal. I’m also a Mom to three highly advanced little girls (according to my husband and I), a coffee lover, a runner and a big time Judy Blume fan.
My writing career first began at the age of 7, when I wrote a story about my chicken dinner at Swiss Chalet. (A fine Canadian establishment). Since then, I’ve continued to write for myself, in the advertising industry, for blogs and pretty much whenever I can because I’m passionate about it. I’ve spent over 13 years as a copywriter in advertising agencies (think Peggy from Mad Men), as a freelancer and as a copywriter for the client side. I’ve also been a creative lead, a content manager and a regular blogger.
As a blogger, I write about motherhood, families, parenting my three little girls and other fun topics for various sites. I've been published on Pregnant Chicken, Scary Mommy, Huffington Post Parents and Red Tricycle, among other publications.
When I’m not writing, you may find me desperately trying to succeed at crafts with my kids, playing ‘horsey’ with my toddler for the 8 millionth time or staring at my children in awe of their amazingly cute faces. (This is a very unbiased statement.)
Thanks for stopping by!
