Hi! My name is Heather. And I am a writer.
Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been a storyteller. I’ve always been compelled to write. Some of it has been really bad (the story I wrote when I was 7-years old about my chicken dinner at Swiss Chalet), some pretty creative (‘The Adventures of Grumpy Grape’) to some pieces that really resonated with readers.
So, I decided to be a writer when I grew up.
After spending over a decade in the marketing and advertising industry as a copywriter, I began a freelance career writing for businesses, as well as writing content for top parenting sites such as Red Tricycle and Pregnant Chicken. I’ve also written many, many blogs for a number of established sites, including Huffington Post, Scary Mommy, Motherly, SavvyMom and others. I’ve spent time as a creative lead and a content manager and today, I’m a professional writer and Editor-in-Chief. (As well as a mom to three little kids!)
Through it all, my passion has always been the writing.
So now I’m now dedicated to helping fellow writers of all skill levels navigate the exciting life of being a published writer. With both the writer and editor side to my experience, I help writers improve their craft and pursue their dreams of being a writer by getting published online.
And I would love to work with you!
I not only host an engaging Facebook group called Writerly, I offer one-on-one private coaching about your writing, with everything from brainstorming and editing to personalized and specific feedback.
